Kokoro Media Moves to Medium

Dear readers,

The entire Kokoro Media team would like to thank you for all of your unwavering support since the creation of Kokoro Media three years ago. Today, I am writing to inform you of two significant updates.

First, I will be stepping down from my role as Kokoro Media Chief Editor in order to move on to the next step of my career as a translator.

Secondly, due in part to the above and the economic realities of operating a content-based website, Kokoro Media will be gradually migrating to the Medium platform. The current Kokoro Media website will remain active for some time, but it will no longer be updated with new content. The content you enjoyed most, and new articles, will gradually make their way to the all-new Kokoro Media Medium Publication.

Although Kokoro Media will be changing platforms, our mission and identity will remain the same: to provide you with unique insights into Japanese culture, life in Japan, and Japanese language learning through interviews with inspiring individuals, research, and the personal accounts of our experienced writers.

On this occasion, I am very happy to announce that I will pass the baton to Anthony Griffin, who will be managing the brand going forward. Anthony and I have collaborated since the Tadaima Japan era (Kokoro Media’s predecessor), and I trust him most to steer our ship toward new shores.

As for me, I will keep writing for Kokoro Media, and you will still be able to enjoy articles by past and new writers.

We invite you to follow us on Medium by reading Anthony’s message to you. And, of course, you are welcome to keep following us on LinkedIn.

Amélie – Kokoro Media Chief Editor

Born in France, I've been living in Japan since 2011. I'm curious about everything, and living in Japan has allowed me to expand my vision of the world through a broad range of new activities, experiences, and encounters. As a writer, what I love most is listening to people's personal stories and share them with our readers.
